Bio
Syndrone is a Swiss guitarist, composer and music producer based in Basel, Switzerland and is the artist alias of Marco Puglisi.
His work focuses on modern, highly technical yet melodic metal guitar playing, combining precision, atmosphere, and strong musical identity. Syndrone’s distinctive approach to both composition and guitar performance sets him apart and defines his signature sound.
Syndrone released his first instrumental metal album, Chaos Mechanics, in 2018, followed by his second album, Neogenesis, in 2022.
Both albums were entirely self-produced in his own studio and are available on all major streaming platforms, as well as on CD via the store section of this website. Preview Syndrone’s music HERE
In 2019, Syndrone was selected as one of the top 3 finalists in the worldwide ‘Guitarist Of The Year’ contest. The judges John Petrucci, Steve Lukather and Tosin Abasi gave Syndrone top scores in all four judging categories, giving him the chance to perform at the UK Guitar and Bass Show in London.
He is currently collaborating with former DragonForce and Skid Row vocalist ZP Theart on new music, marking a new chapter beyond his instrumental releases.
In December 2025, Syndrone released Dark to Light, marking the first official collaboration with ZP Theart. Shortly thereafter, in January 2026, Syndrone and ZP Theart reunited to create the 20th anniversary edition of the legendary DragonForce track Through the Fire and Flames. For this re-imagined version, Syndrone re-wrote and re-arranged the song, performed and programmed all instruments and handled the complete production, including mixing and mastering. The release also features additional guest solos by Sophie Burrell and Bradley Hall. The anniversary edition of Through the Fire and Flames surpassed 100,000 views on YouTube within its first week.
